Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, while on the small side, were adequate. The bedroom definitely needed updating; however, the refurbished bathroom was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the dated aspects like single glazing and poorly fitted bathroom were drawbacks. The service was friendly but lacked warmth and customer service skills on some occasions. On the bright side, the staff always aimed to ensure our satisfaction. The location was simply incredible, with friendly staff, delicious food, and a perfect setting for relaxation. As for the dining experience, it was a bit odd initially, but overall, the breakfast had a good choice and was enjoyable. As for the rooms, the rating is a fair 7 out of 10 considering the need for updates and dated conditions.
The hotel is in a fantastic position right on the cliff edge with views across the bay, worth booking the panoramic view bedroom. However, the rooms were very disappointing with cheap, mismatched furniture and badly maintained decor. On the bright side, the service was super friendly and efficient, making the stay pleasant. The location is fantastic, perched above the Atlantic with a route down to what amounts to a private beach. The dining experience was a mix of very good local ingredients and some mediocre dishes. Facilities were average.
The hotel has an unbeatable location right on Lizard Point, offering magnificent views of the sea and the lighthouse. The rooms need refurbishment and were not vacuumed daily as requested, but they do offer a sea view. The service was a bit disengaged at times, especially during breakfast service, though the staff are overall friendly. The dining experience was good with freshly cooked meals, but some menu choices were unavailable during late sittings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views and walks. The facilities include housekeeping, welcome drink, and pet amenities, but service levels could improve a bit.
